UAE Expands Gaming Ecosystem with New Licensed Suppliers
UAE Expands Gaming Ecosystem with New Licensed Suppliers

In May 2025, the UAE’s General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA) accelerated its rollout of licensed support infrastructure by approving several high-profile gaming suppliers.
This marks a critical step in the UAE’s plan to build a secure, regulated environment for both physical casinos and future online platforms.
Licensing advances underline preparation for physical and online gambling
Newly Licensed Vendors
Among the companies granted licenses:
- Novomatic – An international gaming equipment manufacturer, known for electronic slot machines and casino hardware.
- EQL Games – A digital lottery and instant games provider, adding depth to the country’s evolving lottery and online gaming landscape.
- Light & Wonder, Xpoint, and other backend technology firms were also engaged during this period to ensure readiness for regulated operations.
These approvals allow vendors to legally supply equipment, software, and digital tools to licensed operators within the UAE, including future casinos and digital lottery platforms.
Infrastructure Foundation for Future Market
While no additional casino or online gambling operator licenses were granted in May, this phase of supplier certification is essential groundwork. It ensures that once commercial gaming operations go liv, starting with Ras Al Khaimah’s upcoming integrated resort, they will operate with vetted, compliant, and technically advanced systems.
This structured expansion positions the UAE to offer a globally competitive and well-regulated gaming environment, balancing innovation with strict oversight.
